The restoration will be carried out thanks to the agreement between the municipality of Florence and the fashion firm Salvatore Ferragamo Spa, through the liberal disbursement “Art Bonus” by the fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo for the three-year period 2019-2021.
The agreement includes the restoration of the equestrian statue of Cosimo I de’ Medici by Giambologna in piazza della Signoria; Ercole e Caco by Baccio Bandinelli and the copy of David by Michelangelo, located at the entrance of Palazzo Vecchio; the copy of Judith and Holofernes on the Arengario di Palazzo Vecchio.
